How I Create my own Painting Tray

Today, I'll be showing you how I create my own painting tray. I call it painting tray because this is where I put my painted parts for drying. If you are into painting, you might need something that works like this. Before, I used Styrofoam for this but the more you use it the foam will start to worn out because of the holes. Now I am using the one made out of used cardboard box.

This is what I made before, but this limits me for about 40 sticks to put on.
So I decided to redo this and make it a bit bigger.

Package No.21

Got loads of new haul this month of April and this will be the last today. This time I only have 2 new figures acquired. I bought Luffy way back earlier 1st quarter of 2013 and I let my friend hold it for the meantime. And recently, I found Ika Musume and decided to buy it then let it ship along with my Luffy.

The shipping fee is a bit higher since my friend declared the item value for the insurance.

Package No.20

Just got my Exclusive MG Tallgeese II today. I ordered this way back when this Kit pre-order was announced.. I am not that excited about this kit since I it just a redo or should I say a recolor of the recently released MG Tallgeese EW. What's new here is just the coloring and the Head to make it Tallgeese II. Should I say, this is just a collectors Item for me.

Since this is an Exclusive release and only limited slots are available in a local online store, getting this would be hard after the release. I bought it about a quarter higher from the original price of the MG Tallgeese EW though they are released in the same price of 3,800 Yen.

You might be thinking of this Kit being an EW version. This is not an EW kit version of Tallgeese II. This is the one that came from the TV series. As far as I know, Tallgeese II hasn't yet appeared in the EW Manga so there is no way they will release a Kit ahead of the Manga nor the Anime. And maybe the Tallgeese II in the EW Manga is way different from the TV series, so we might expect another MG Tallgeese II kit in the future for the EW version.

Same as my recetly bought Kits. This was sent via Metrowide Courier Express.

Figure Comparison: Authentic and Bootleg

There are lot of people who doesn't have much knowledge in Figure Collecting. Most of them encounters Bootleg prior to the Authentic one. By that, they are easily convinced that they are collecting the right thing. But I don't say that Bootleg collecting is bad. There are lot of circumstances that they prefer on collecting Bootleg because of a low price compared to the authentic one.

Now I have gathered a bit of comparisons from members of Pinoy One Piece Figure Collectors who apparently have both Authentic and Bootleg of a same figure.

WIP Part 4: TT Hongli MG 1/100 Zaku II Ver.2.0 Black Tri-Stars Version: Preparation Inner Frame & Weapons

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 5Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 |

Just done with cleaning and sanding the inner frame parts. It took me awhile doing this because almost all of the parts has lot of mold line visible that I have to remove. Some parts do have imperfect molds and its hard to fit while testing it.

I segregated the parts into 4 containers. They are separated in this sequence [Left Arm, Leg] [Right Arm, Leg] [Weapons] [Head, Torso, Backpack].

Next stop is preparing each parts for painting. Usually, I will hold them on my Alligator Clips holding sticks. I will try to paint this 1-by-1 because most of the parts if you try to assemble has a lot of hidden portions which you cannot reach while painting. I would prime this first and try to sand a bit if somethings went too rough. I am still thinking on what paints will I use for the main colors and the details. First I was planing to use Bosny Chrome but someone told me that it is an Enamel paint. I don't want to use enamel for now so I might go for Bosny Silver. I still need to finalize it after I finish priming. So that's it for now. Thanks for your time.

Package No.19

Just got another package earlier today. Consist of my new addition to my Anime Main Protagonists Shrine. Got this relatively in a lower price than usual retail price. This was sent via JRS yesterday and I kinda amaze how it got here fast. I payed 350 pesos for the shipping fee which I know it should have been lesser since its only an ordinary cargo. Non the less, the package got here safe and no damage at all. Thanks to the store packaging it went out safely.

How I modify MG 1/100 Zaku II Ver.2.0 Hands

I already started working on my MG Zaku II, starting off with the Hands. Ver 2.0 gives you a nicely articulated fingers but it is quite limited since you will have 3 joined fingers aside from the thumb and fore finger. So here is a bit of modification I made just to extend the articulation for the 3 joined fingers.

Originally, you only have 4 points of articulation for the 3 joined fingers.
What will I do is to separated those lower joined fingers connected to the palm.

Working out on the remaining parts of the Ship. All parts are pretty much done in terms of weathering. Everything are detailed to my preferences.

Commission Part 6: Bandai One Piece Model Kit Going Merry Flying Model

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 7 |

Haven't done much in the past with this ship. I stopped working on this because of lack in materials. Now I continued working on this with some painting, weathering and applying waterslide decals on the flag. I also assembled the poles and the head of merry. I have done some puttying on some parts of the ship specially with the head.

I added a pinch of white and black paint to the putty so it won't be that much gray as if I already weathered it.

I weathered the black parts on the side of the ship which I think a metal part with Rust and some scratches using silver.

Package No.18

Hi guys, while waiting for my Going Merry Flying Model to be finished. Here is another upcoming Project that I will be doing this Summer. It is a TT Hongli brand, my first bootleg Model Kit and it is my Entry to First ever Pinoy Gundam Challenge. I joined the contest to experience the challenge and of course to enjoy this hobby. Hopefully I can do well in this project.

Special thanks to my newly found friend online for having this Kit. He bought it for me since I am in a far away land and I cannot just buy things like this quickly. The box is wrapped in a plastic bag and were sent via JRS.
