Figure Defects: Banpresto SCultures One Piece God Enel

It has been a great year for Banpresto in releasing their SCultures One Piece figures. And a great addition to the lineup is God Enel, but its kinda alarming for I have seen cases from my Group with almost has the same defect.

#1 from Andrew
The right leg is broken from the connection to the pants.

Here is the closeup on the broken connection.

Also a single Drum which surrounds God Enel has a defect.
The material from the side it not properly attached to the inner piece.
 #2 from Glenn
The left foot is broken from the jewels on the legs.

Here is what you will get if you try to stand God Enel on its base.

Other parts are good without defect except for the left foot.
#3 from Sheboom
The connection of the lower arm to the upper arm is disengaged
#4 from Adrel
Smudged paint on the front drum.

There are lot of circumstances that makes this problem occur. Most of the time it is on the shipping. Too much movement of the package might break the figure inside the box. But it would not be possible for the reason that I have already bought figures and all are sent to me via shipping. So far I haven't got defect like broken parts or anything. Or may be the material used in the figure is kinda weak or so which makes it easily to be broken during shipping. Another is factory defect, which I think the cause of this problem since I have this two subjects that has almost the same problem.

Never the less there is nothing we can do with the manufacturer but we can still fix the problem. You only need to glue the broken parts. Here are the steps you might want to do to fix this problem:
1. Clean the both parts that you need to glue together. Make sure no dust is visible on the surface of the broken parts.
2. Before applying the glue make sure that both of the crack are perfectly matched or flat to the surface to avoid imperfection to what really the figure looks.
3. Use Super Glue. The Gel type one. Commonly here in the Philippines is Mighty Bond or Bulldog. Do not use the glue especially made for PVC because it will melt your PVC to be able to glue them.
4. Make sure to put just a bit of Super Glue on one side that would not spill when you put them together. If so, you will only make some white marks after the the Glue dries which you will not like.
5. After glue them together, just leave them lying down for over an hour or so just to make sure they are already attached to each other when the glue dries.

I will update this if I will see more people complaining on defects of this figure. Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks for your time.

    1. I thought this was just an isolated case about the SC Enel. I guess Banpresto lacked with the QC on this figure. Thanks for stopping-by. :D
